Books I’ve Read In the Past Few Months | Blogmas Day 23

Hey everyone, welcome back.

This post is so so late!! I’ve been busy all day doing a Secret Santa with my friends and spending time with them all day. I then got my phone camera fixed but I’m finally sat down at 8.30 writing this for you!

Let’s start!

I’m actually genuinely happy with the amount of books I’ve managed to read this month. The first is Girl Online On Tour by Zoe Sugg.

I absolutely loved this book and managed to finish it within three days. I love books which see written in a dairy form, I just find them much more interesting to read. In this book, we meet Penny once again with her rock star boyfriend Noah who, of course goes on tour and takes Penny along with him. I’m still yet to read Going Solo, but I’ve heard it’s amazing and follows Penny and Noah perfectly again.

Book 2

Book number two is Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone by J.K Rowling. I again managed to read this book in the space of 2 – 3 days purely because of the fact it was a brand new book to hit my collection as I had bought a new copy in the Harry Potter World Shop, and I read it on the train back home and loved every chapter as thoroughly as the film. This of course follows Harry Potter in his first year of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as well as his two friends Ron and Hermonie.

Book 3

Lee Evans: The Life of Lee.

As I said about Girl Online, I love books written in a dairy form, or written by the author themselves. In this book you follow the journey of Lee Evans and how he grew up and what his school and home life were like before fame. This book only follows him up to around when he was mid 20s, and this book leaves you on and cliffhanger at the end. (I won’t spoil it)

Book 4

The Night That Changed Everything by Laura Tait and Jimmy Rice.

This book is one of my all time favourites and the story follows the relationship of Rebecca and Ben who are my ultimate goals in all honesty. The book is purely focused on one night which changed absolutely everything between Ben & Rebecca and the whole story is such a roller coaster which I absolutely love! It’s such an interesting read and I’d recommend it to people aged 15 and over!

Again, I’m so sorry this post is so so late. I will upload the featured image tomorrow so the post doesn’t look as boring, and I’ll be back tomorrow with another post.

Till next time,

My Winter Essentials 2016

Hello everyone,

Over the past few days the weather has become ridiculously cold all of a sudden here in the UK. There are people like me who are picky with the weather when it comes to the temperature. For example – if its too cold, it annoys me and makes me grumpy and I don’t love it. I like it to be semi cold. Not really really cold, but; somewhere in the 15s. Yes. 15 degrees.

Anyway. Today I want to share with you a few of my winter essentials which are absolutely necessary during the change from October to December.

The first one – of course, is a lovely warm cup of tea. Now, there are lots of different types of tea out there but I like to be very original and have a nice cup of Tetley’s. You can’t really go wrong in all honesty. And make sure you make it properly, the right way in the right order of steps. Tell me how you make your cup of tea in the comments. Let’s see who’s really doing it properly.

The next essential is a little bit odd but when you read ahead you’ll understand why.

I am asthmatic (not majorly, don’t worry I won’t collapse on you), therefore I have to now start getting my flu jab. I also had this done last year as I found out I was asthmatic back then. In previous years I have found myself feeling absolutely rock bottom with colds and flu’s and viruses etc. Therefore having my flu jab done is an absolute necessity.

It may be a little odd for some people, but I promise it makes the cold and flu season much easier so you avoid getting ill.

My next essential is something I’ve not actually managed to get yet, and that is a scarf. I’m hoping to visit Primark within the next few days to go and get myself one. If I can’t find one in Primark I’ll end up in New Look and there is one in there I do quite like. Its navy blue and has white and red and black combined into it, but Primark ones are much more affordable.

After Bonfire Night for me, it means Christmas  is drawing nearer and we can finally start getting excited for it. During the winter months leading up to Christmas, I absolutely love to get fairy lights. I currently have a multicoloured pack in my room waiting to go on my little Christmas tree, and I also have some purple / pink fairy lights trailing around my bed cupboards. I love coming home and making my room feel cosy and warm just so I can block out the cold for a little while and concentrate on warming up.

Those are all my current essentials for Winter and I’ll be sure to do an updated one in about a month or so to see if I have any more (which I definitely will). As I said earlier on in the post, let me know how you make a cup of tea. Which way is the right way to make a cup of tea? We’ll find out! ?

Thank you all very much for reading and if you want to hear of my updated winter essentials in a few weeks – a month, don’t forget to follow my blog and join my little family 🙂

Much love,

Abi x

September Favourites!

Hello everyone! Welcome to the second post in #Blogtober16 (Sorry for Blogtober never really happening)

Today I want to share with you my September Favourites as I have a few. These favourites were definitely more beauty based this month.

My first favourite is the Revlon Colour Stay Foundation. Mine is completely gone now and I’ve had this foundation for at least 6 months and not had to buy anything else. It was the perfect match for my skin and was so incredibly easy to blend. I bought mine for £4 from the Factory Shop and usually it retails for £12.99 so I definitely saved myself some money there!

My next favourites are a combo of each other. The first one is the Maybelline Lash Sensational which has also unfortunately  run out and gone dry. This mascara was raved about so so much this time last year and everyone was using it and still today people love the mascara the same. It’s an incredible dupe for the Benefit Rollerlash too! The wands are almost exactly the same and that is something I absolutely love. This mascara retails for £7.99

The second half of the combo is the Astor Seduction Codes mascara. On top of the Lash Sensational, this adds that extra volume and ‘umph’ to your lashes. This mascara was also bought from my local factory shop for £4 which is the regular price for Astor’s brand. However, it is cheaper in other stores online.

My next favourite is odd but it’s been my cactus! This is so strange but I’ve been loving taking care of my cactus because it feels like a chore I have. It is only small which is good because it means I only have to water it 3 times every month which is like once every week during the winter months. It currently isn’t standing upright which is annoying me a bit but it is sat in the sun right now so I hope the sun can straighten it up a bit!

This past month I have also really been enjoying coming home from college and watching Alfie Deyes’ vlogs. I don’t usually like watching Alfie’s vlogs but this month I’ve loved them.

I have also loved just watching vlogs all together!

Those are all my favourites for this month and I know there aren’t that many but I like keeping favourites posts nice and short because I hate when people go off on a tangent!

Again, I’m doing Blogtober so I’ll be posting everyday! I’ve decided my weekend posts will go up at 10am, and my weekday posts will go up at 6pm as I’m in college all week!

Have a lovely day and I hope to see you again soon!

August Favourites | 2016

Good evening everyone!

Thank you for such lovely feedback on my last post! (Click here if you’ve not already read it)

Today I want to share with you my August favourites which consist of many things.

First off, I have my handbag from Primark which I will be using for school this year. I start college this year so I’m very excited for a new start. Earlier today, I posted a video where I showed my school bag for this year, so if you’re interested you can find that here.

This bag was £14 and for its size, its brilliant. I can’t link you to the bag as it’s not on the website anymore.

My second favourite for this month is the Maybelline Fit Me Matte Foundation. This foundation leaves a dewy finish on the skin and almost feels like a BB cream; however, it is definitely buildable. I like to wear this foundation without powder on top as I feel if you add powder on top of this it becomes cakey and turns that horrid orange toned colour and doesn’t match the rest of your skin properly. I recommend you only use a small amount of this foundation as it gives a lovely coverage with a lovely finish. This retails for £5.99 which is definitely something I’d be willing to pay again.

Next, I have a few favourite books. This past month I’ve managed to finish three different books and loved them all in different ways. First up, Lee Evans – The Life of Lee.

This book was so amazing and had me intrigued the whole way through. I found out so much about Lee and the life he had before he became the man he is today. Lee Evans’ book was so inspirational and heartfelt and there were moments where you can understand and truly see the man he used to be with his wife Heather especially. It was funny, it was sad and it had me locked the whole way through.

The second book I finished was Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone. Unlike a normal fan, I have watched all of the films. However, I haven’t read all the books which is unusual. I have never managed to stick to reading them and I feel this is because all the Harry Potter books we have in our house are old and the first editions without the fancy new covers. Therefore, recently I went to the Harry Potter Studios outside London (when I visited at the start of the month), and decided to purchase a new copy of the first book.

I managed to finish this book within a week which is pretty good going for me. I got the book from the studios for normal price of £7.99

Finally the last book I have managed to smash last month in three days may I add!; is Zoella’s Girl Online On Tour. This book is definitely my favourite kind of fiction as you read it from a first person perspective. In this case, we follow Penny and her journey with her rock star boyfriend.I love love reading books like this as I find them much easier to read if the book is from the main character perspective. How I managed to read this book in 3 days is beyond me but I really really enjoyed it. This was a gift to me from my grandparents for Christmas, and she got this in WHSmith for around £12.

(not my picture, i just think its cute)

I haven’t had many favourites this month, but I am willing to try out new products this month, so if you have any recommendations, let me know in the comments down below. Thank you so much for reading!
