Happy New Year! The New Year is possibly one of my favourite times of the year. December 31st finally sees the end of an old year and the beginning of a new one. It’s safe to say the New Year actually makes me feel excited.
I think the main reason I get excited is purely for the new beginnings and opportunities that a new year has the potential to bring. New Year’s resolutions are very cliche, but something I truly believe everyone should stick to. Let me tell you why…
Setting goals, whether they’re minimal or whether you have a whole list of them to set yourself throughout the year, they’re still goals you can work towards.
I mentioned on Instagram in this post how I have a few goals for the new year myself, and whether any of my followers had any goals themselves. Some of the responses included:
– Becoming more of a creative person
– Read some more
– Create more art
– Drink and eat healthy
These are some brilliant ideas from my followers, and I really think they’re some I may take up myself.
What Are My Goals?
Last year I created a video called 18 Things I Plan To Do in 2018 and after reviewing the video, I actually only ended up doing 2 or 3 of the things on that list, which is awful and something I’ve really got annoyed at myself for.
This year I am determined to stick to these goals, and I’ll be creating a video again of 19 Things I Plan To Do in 2019.
Here are a few of them:
– Volunteer again.
I took up volunteering at my brother’s school last year and genuinely enjoyed it, so it’s something I want to do again this year for definite.
– Get a job and be financially stable
I have only had 1 job since moving to Australia, which is pretty rubbish as they had to let me go. This year I want to be able to get a job and have a good amount of money coming in to support myself as well as help my family with certain things too.
– Finish college officially!
Ohhh my goodness me. If you didn’t know, I study photography online, doing a Certificate 4. It has been the absolute bain of my life and a huge weight on my shoulders. There will be a blog post when I finish, however, for now, I’ll just let you know I want to get it done and out of the way.
– Join a gym and workout
My figure is something I have struggled with for years. Learning to love my body has been such a struggle purely because I really struggle to put weight on, as well as having been bullied in school for years on end, its time I work on my figure and get the body I’m determined to have, and workout as much as possible.
– Dedicate more time to YouTube and my blog
Both of these are pretty much my little escapes for when I feel like I need to be creative. I have been rubbish last year with how much time I spent on both. This year I want to be able to upload frequent blogs and videos and make them both my favourite thing to do again.
I have so many other goals (I have 19!!) that I’d love to share so there will be a YouTube video soon with all of the goals and talking through what I aim to do with all of them.
